**Warriors Finding Their Rhythm (Finally?)**

On the other side, the Golden State Warriors are clinging to that tenth spot in the West, sitting at 33-38. They've won three of their last five, including that tight one against Dallas just a couple of nights ago. Stephen Curry, even at 35, is still lighting it up, averaging 29.8 points and shooting 42.6% from deep. He put up 20 points in the last Dallas game, but Klay Thompson was the real hero, dropping 32 points on 12-for-22 shooting, including 8-for-14 from three. That's the Klay that makes the Warriors so dangerous.

And don't forget Jordan Poole. He's had his ups and downs this year, but he can explode at any moment. He added 22 points off the bench against Dallas on March 20th, hitting 4 threes. When those three guys are hitting, especially in San Francisco, it's a tall order for any team, let alone one struggling like the Mavericks. Kevon Looney is also consistently pulling down double-digit rebounds, grabbing 13 in the last contest. He's the unsung hero of their interior defense.

Here's my hot take: the Mavericks are better than their record suggests, but their defense is a complete mess. They're giving up 114.7 points per game, 23rd in the league. You simply can't win consistently in the NBA with that kind of defensive effort, no matter how brilliant Doncic is on offense. They let the Lakers shoot 52.3% from the field and 44% from three in their last game. That's just not good enough.

**Can Dallas Steal One on the Road?**

It's tough to win on the road in the NBA, especially against a team fighting for playoff positioning. The Mavericks are 8-27 away from home this season. That's a grim stat. They've shown flashes of brilliance, like when Doncic went for 42 points and 13 assists against the Pelicans on March 8th, but those performances are often followed by defensive collapses.

Thing is, Golden State still has something to play for. They need every win they can get to solidify that play-in spot. Dallas, on the other hand, is playing for pride and draft position.
